Our Villas
Three Houses, One Unique Experience
Casa do Governador consists of three distinct villas: Villa T6 – Casa Original, Villa T5 – Dourada and Villa T1 – Casito.
Located on a 28-hectare property within an ecological reserve area, it also features 5 hectares of vineyards, reinforcing the connection to local history and heritage.
Original House
Villa T6 dates back to the early 19th century, when it served as an infirmary and quarantine site for the friars of the Convento do Espinheiro. According to tradition, this land was where the vineyards used by the friars for wine production were cultivated — a heritage that remains alive on the property.
Today, the Original House is also home to the reception and dining area, where our breakfasts and dinners are served, always in a welcoming atmosphere that stays true to the house's identity.
Golden Villa
In 2002, Villa T5 was born as a Family House, characterized by an unusual style. In 2020, it was reborn with a personalized design in each room, evoking the elegance of the past century with today's comfort.
The villa also features common areas, such as a kitchen and living room, and terraces and porches overlooking the countryside, perfect for enjoying nature and the property's animals.
The Little House
Villa T1 — known as the Casa dos Caseiros — was the residence of those responsible for the property during the owners' absence.
With a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, it now offers all the modern comfort and technology while maintaining the essence and simplicity of its origins.
The Birth of Casa do Governador
Casa do Governador was born in 2012, following the renovation of the Family House that had been passed down from generation to generation.
Preserving the original design and adopting a contemporary rustic decoration, the project took shape through the adaptation and reuse of existing materials, creating unique solutions connected to the property's history.
Tradition that renews itself, history that is preserved
